mira gives back

We believe that as we grow, it is our duty to give back to the community.  Donating of goods and services, as well as volunteering of our time, is a vital part of being a business.  mira proudly attends and donates to many worthwhile local events.  A team from mira attends ‘Project Homeless’ every year to provide free haircuts to the city’s homeless and less fortunate.  We are also a donation site for cell phones to benefit the Battered Women’s Shelter.  mira has been very active in supporting C.A.N. (Community Aids Network) and their sponsored events.  Some of the other organizations mira has contributed to are The Cancer Society, N.A.M.I., Cystic Fibrosis, Project Learn, Alzheimer’s Association, Heart Association, Mature Services, The Akron Civic Theatre and many local schools.

mira Celebrates Our Expansion with a Grand Re-Opening

mira hair and body studio first opened its doors on January 5, 2009.  Catherine Pawlowski, owner of mira, and 12 others decided to set out on their own when the business they were with went under new ownership.  Since then mira has more than doubled in size, now with 25 total employees.  mira celebrated a 650 square foot expansion on October 20, 2010 with the Fairlawn Area Chamber of Commerce at a ribbon cutting event.  mira is a unique group of individuals that came together because of their profession and stayed together because of their dedication to their clients and to one another. Our staff takes pride in the salon because they all have a vested interest.
